Creating Public Band Profiles

Learn how to create a shareable public profile that showcases your band to fans, venues, and the music community.

Enabling Your Public Profile

  1. Go to your band page
  2. Click "Edit Band"
  3. Scroll to "Public Profile" section
  4. Enable "Make this band public"
  5. Your band gets a unique URL: thebandplan.com/your-band-slug

Profile Sections

Your public profile can include:

Hero Section

  • Band Logo - Upload a primary logo (appears in hero)
  • Tagline - Short description (e.g., "Denver's hottest funk unit")
  • Hometown - Your city/location
  • Genres - Musical styles you play

About Section

  • Bio - Full band biography
  • Formed Year - When your band started
  • Genres - Detailed genre information

Albums

  • Published albums appear automatically
  • Each album has its own public page
  • Fans can listen to tracks and support your music

Band Members

  • Shows all band members (if they have public profiles)
  • Links to individual musician profiles
  • Displays instruments and roles

Photos

Organize photos by category:

  • Performance Photos - Live shots, stage photos
  • Event Posters - Gig posters, promotional materials
  • Promo Shots - Professional band photos
  • General Photos - Any other band photos

Videos

  • Add YouTube links or upload video files
  • Each video gets its own shareable page
  • Fans can watch, share, and embed videos

Audio Samples

  • Showcase your best recordings
  • Link to external streaming (Spotify, etc.)
  • Give fans a taste of your sound

Upcoming Shows

  • Confirmed gigs appear automatically
  • Shows date, venue, and ticket information
  • Gig posters are clickable (link to gig detail page)
  • Fans can see where you're playing

Contact & Social

  • Booking Email - For venue inquiries
  • Phone - Contact number
  • Website - Link to your website
  • Social Links - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Spotify, etc.

Payment Widget

Enable fan support on your public profile:

  • Add Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle information
  • Payment widget appears on band page, gig pages, and album pages
  • Fans can support you with suggested amounts
  • QR codes for easy mobile payments

Customizing Your Profile

Make your profile unique:

  • Slug - Customize your URL (e.g., thebandplan.com/krewe-de-groove)
  • Logo Positioning - System automatically positions logos (banner vs. square)
  • Photo Organization - Categorize photos for better presentation
  • Content Order - Sections appear in a logical flow

Sharing Your Profile

Your public profile is shareable:

  • Share the URL directly: thebandplan.com/your-band-slug
  • Link from your website or social media
  • Include in booking emails to venues
  • Add to business cards and promotional materials
