Band Promotion

Promote your band yourself — press kit, venue outreach, album releases, and social tools. Look bookable inbound, chase gigs outbound — not another agency form.

The Band Plan is DIY band promotion for solo acts and working bands. Build a public press kit, run venue outreach and gig opportunities, release albums from your recordings, and schedule social posts — from the same media library that holds your gig photos and takes.

Looking for a band press kit, venue booking tools, or ways to promote your band without hiring a promo shop? That’s the loop here: look bookable on your page → chase venues with a real outreach pipeline → announce the gig → stay audible on social.

What “band promotion” usually means online

  • Agency packages and “talk to a promoter” lead-gen forms
  • One-off social blasts detached from your actual repertoire and recordings
  • A brochure site with no way to track venue conversations or turn a “yes” into a public gig

Those can help some bands. Many working acts need to look bookable, pursue venues with a system, publish their work, and keep contact easy — on a page they own.

How you promote on The Band Plan

Public band page & press kit

Your band page is the press kit: bio, photos, videos, members, and links bookers can open without logging in. Browse live examples in the band directory.

Look bookable — inbound contact & upcoming shows

Put booking contact on the public page (reveal-on-click) so venues and fans can reach you. Confirmed dates show as Upcoming Shows on the page and in the site-wide gig directory.

Chase gigs — Venue Outreach & Opportunities

Promotion isn’t only waiting for the phone to ring. Venue Outreach is a booking CRM for your band:

  • Venue database — browse the shared venue directory, add your own, and scrape contact details from a venue website
  • Opportunities — start a named pursuit at a venue (e.g. “Spring booking”) and track status from prospecting through contacted, negotiating, and booked
  • Interaction log — email, phone, SMS, social DM, in person — with notes, outcomes, and next steps so the thread isn’t buried in someone’s inbox
  • AI follow-up suggestions — drafts channel-aware outreach and follow-ups from your history when you’re ready to send the next note
  • Booked → gig — when an opportunity is booked with a date, a gig record is created; enrich it (times, fee, tickets, poster, setlist), then announce it publicly

Album releases

Release albums from the same recording tools you use for songs and sets — fans can stream (and tip). Free plans include up to three published albums per band.

Social media automation

Schedule posts to Instagram, Facebook, and X from your band’s media library — photos, videos, and show recordings you already captured.

Media library as the hub

One place for photos, videos, recordings, and artwork feeds the press kit, social queue, and album releases. Promote isn’t a separate product — it’s wired through the same library as the planner and the gig you just booked.

Same home as the band planner

Charts and setlists live next to promo. Pull from the shared library of 1,700+ charts, take the set onstage, record the night, then release and promote on Monday — and keep chasing the next room in Venue Outreach. See how the band planner works.

Free to start

Press kit, venue outreach / opportunities, social tools, and album releases are part of the free core (up to three published albums per band). Pay only for extra storage, more albums, or more bands. See plans.

Not a band promotion agency

If you searched for a company that will promote your band for a fee, that’s a different kind of “band promotion.” This page is for musicians who want tools to promote themselves — public page, press kit, venue outreach, albums, and social — without outsourcing the presence.
