- Songs can have one genre and, optionally, one of its sub-genres. Set them when you add or edit a song.
- Filters: the Songs library and your band's repertoire table can filter by genre and sub-genre.
- Bands pick one or more genres (not sub-genres) for their public page. See Editing your band's public page.
- Imports: a Genre column in a list or Google Sheet is matched to this list, including common spellings like “hip hop” or “soul”. Names that don't match are left blank.
The Woodshed uses its own genre labels, separate from this list.
