A setlist is your show: songs from your repertoire arranged into sets. Each setlist comes with Sets 1–4 and a Maybe list for songs you might play.
Who can create setlists: by default the Principal and Core roles. Editing needs the same permission.
Create a setlist
- On your band page, go to Setlists and click New Setlist.
- Enter a Title and an optional Date.
- Click Create Setlist.
If your band already has songs, the editor opens next. If it doesn't yet, you land on the setlist page. Setlists have a title and date only; there's no venue field.
Or paste a list
On your band page, use Quick Set Creation with Create Setlist selected (or Setlist + repertoire on the full Add a list of songs page). Paste one song per line, with an optional artist after a comma. The first line becomes the setlist name, and a blank line starts a new set. New songs are added to your repertoire along the way. See Adding songs.
Already have a setlist? Click Add a list in the editor to paste more songs into it. Skip the name line; blank lines still start new sets.
The editor
The editor says it best: Drag songs from Band Songs into sets. Changes auto-save.
- Band songs (left column): your repertoire. Use Search or add a song to find one. The menu beside it switches between Band repertoire and Library (add to band), which finds any song you can use and adds it to your repertoire. If your band is linked to an artist, it also offers Written by this band and Not by this band.
- Sets 1–4: drag songs into a set's Drop songs here area and drag them to reorder. Click the pencil to rename a set, and use the arrows to move a whole set up or down.
- Maybe List: songs you might play. They don't count toward the setlist's total time and don't appear in the Practice page player.
- Remove a song with the × on its card.
- Performance date: set or clear the date.
On a phone or tablet there's no dragging. Use Add on a band song, then the arrows on a setlist song: up and down to reorder, left and right to move it to the previous or next set. On a computer, turn on Show song move controls if you'd rather use arrows.
Version history
Every save creates a version. Click Change log in the editor to jump to Version history, which lists the last 50 versions with who changed what. Open a version and click Restore This Version to go back to it. Your current setlist is saved as a backup version first, so restoring can be undone.
Duplicate, archive or delete
From the setlist's row on your band's Setlists page:
- Duplicate: makes a copy with all sets and songs. Give it a new title and an optional date. Handy for a regular gig.
- Archive: moves the setlist to the Archived tab. Click Restore there to bring it back.
- Delete: removes it permanently.
Song durations
Set each song's duration on its band song page. The setlist page then shows the total time and each set's time. If some songs in a set have no duration yet, the set shows how many are timed, for example "(12/15)".
