Setlists

Setlist views and exports

All the ways to view, print and share a setlist.

Open a setlist to see its songs by set, with durations and quick actions. From here you can open a view for every situation: performing, practicing, rehearsing, or just listening.

The toolbar

  • View: a clean, read-only view of the setlist
  • Edit setlist: opens the editor. Only shown if you can edit setlists.
  • Music Stand and Practice
  • More:
    • Email to Band and Copy titles
    • Print, Export as text and Export as CSV
    • Assign vocalists (if you can edit band songs): pick who sings each song. It's saved on each band song, so it carries over to other setlists.
    • Duplicate (if you can create setlists): copy this setlist with all its sets and songs

Views panel

Each view has a Copy Link button next to it. The link works for people without an account, so you can send a Music Stand link to a sub, or a playlist to the band.

View Use it for
Music Stand Performing: one chart per song, auto-scroll, transpose
Practice Practicing: charts with a player for each song's video or audio
Rehearsal View Rehearsing: every song's charts and links in one place
YouTube Playlist Watching the set as a YouTube playlist
Audio Playlist Listening to the set from each song's audio links
MIDI Playlist Appears when songs have MIDI links

Recordings panel

Record the gig or rehearsal right from the setlist (Record Audio / Record Video), or click Add and Manage Recordings to upload. Once you've split a recording into songs, Audio player (and Video player for video) appear here and open the setlist player. See Recording sets and The setlist player.

The panel also has Photos for the gig's photos, with its own Copy Link to share them.

External Set Recordings

Recorded the show somewhere else? Paste a link to your recordings page and click Save, and we'll try to build a player from it. Once saved, Listen to the Set opens it, and Copy Link shares it. Members who can edit setlists can use Change link or Remove to fix or clear it. See External recordings.

Choosing what each view shows

Each song can have several charts, videos and audio sources. Your band picks one of each on the song's band song page:

  • Charts: Make primary, or the Music Stand preferences gear. If you don't choose, the most recently updated chart is used.
  • YouTube, audio and MIDI: Make preferred on a link, or the playlist preferences gear. If you don't choose, the first suitable link is used.

Skipping songs

Skipping a take hides it from the Setlist Player for everyone, without deleting anything. See Skipping songs in the setlist player.

Printing

More → Print opens a printable version of the setlist. Use your browser's print dialog to print or save it as a PDF. To print charts, use Print chart on Music Stand.
