Public album pages

Finding albums, listening, upcoming releases, and buying or tipping.

Bands on The Band Plan can release albums, and every released album has its own page with a player. Anyone can listen, no account needed.

Find albums

Click Albums in the top bar to see every released album from bands with a public page, newest first. Each card shows the artwork, the album and band name, a short description, the number of tracks and the release date. Click a card to open the album.

You can also find a band's albums in the Albums section of their public page. An album's address is the band's address plus the album name, like thebandplan.com/your-band/album-name.

Albums that aren't out yet

A band can publish an album ahead of its release date. Until then:

  • It doesn't appear on the Albums page.
  • On the band's page, it shows Coming Soon with a countdown, and Not Yet Released instead of a play button.
  • If you open its address directly, you'll see Album Not Yet Released with the release date and time, how long is left, and a button back to the band's page.

Once the release date passes, the album appears everywhere and is ready to play.

Listen

The album page loads the first track and tries to start playing. Most browsers block sound until you click something, so if nothing plays, press play on the player.

  • Click any track in the Tracks list to play it. The track that's playing is highlighted, and Now Playing shows its title and artist.
  • Previous and Next move through the album. Restart starts the current track over.
  • When a track ends, the next one starts on its own.
  • On a phone, you can pause and skip from your lock screen or headphones.

Tracks marked No Audio are listed for completeness but have no recording yet, so they're skipped.

Each track shows its length and the song's original artist (handy for covers), plus any notes from the band. If the band has added credits, click the Credits tab to see who played and produced what.

Buy, stream or support

Next to the artwork you'll find the album's description and, if the band has added them:

  • Listen & Purchase: buttons for the album on Bandcamp, Spotify or Apple Music.
  • Support This Album: a tip jar, if the band accepts tips on this album. It works the same as on the band's page: pick an amount, then pay with Venmo, PayPal or Zelle. The money goes straight to the band. See Tip the band.

Connect with the band

At the bottom of the page you'll find the band's social links, Back to the band's page, Visit Website, and Contact for Booking, which shows their booking email when you click it.

Make your own album
